Recordings are off until you enable them for a website. Control sampling, keep input masking, use default text masking and exclude sensitive regions.

Know the current scope.

Each page recording is capped at 10 minutes or 5 MB. A full page load starts another recording. Capture can be blocked, sampled out or incomplete, and recordings are not backfilled. Embedded frames and canvas content are excluded. This is a page reconstruction, not a screen-capture video.

Before you get started

Do I need another tracking snippet?

No. Your existing tracker loads the recorder for eligible visits after you enable recording.

Can I replay visitors from before recording was enabled?

No. Only eligible visits captured after recording was enabled can produce a recording.
