01 / GOALS & EVENTS

Choose the action that matters.

Build goals from received pages and events, or define a future event before installing it. Optional page restrictions let you narrow an event to the page you care about.

  • Page visits, automatic clicks and named custom events
  • Searchable activity with received-event verification
  • Up to 50 editable goals per website
NAME A SPECIFIC BUTTONIllustrative data
A visitor clicks your buttondemo_cta_clicked

<button data-behavilo-event="demo_cta_clicked">

</button>
Add the attribute to your existing button. Keep its current behavior.
02 / GOALS & EVENTS

Keep intent and completion separate.

A click can show interest. A confirmed event can show that an operation succeeded. Give each action its own name so you can ask both questions.

  • Name a specific button with a data attribute
  • Send successful outcomes from your application's success handler
  • Select one saved goal for the Overview conversion metric
REPORT A CONFIRMED RESULTIllustrative data

Success event
// After your application confirms the export
window.behavilo?.track("export_completed");
Send this from the confirmed success handler on your website.
03 / GOALS & EVENTS

Read counts with context.

See completions, matching sessions and session conversion for every goal. Repeated actions increase completions; each matching session counts once. Goal rules apply to retained activity, so you can explore events you already collected.

FROM SETUP TO YOUR FIRST QUESTION

Start with the real activity on your website.

  1. 01

    Choose a received page or event, or enter your own exact event name.

  2. 02

    Add a named button attribute or a success-handler call when needed.

  3. 03

    Perform the action, check Received status and select the goal in Overview.

Follow the setup guide

Know the current scope.

Saving a goal does not install tracking on your external website. Specific buttons need a named event; successful outcomes need your application to report success. Behavilo does not independently verify that a payment or business operation succeeded.

Before you get started

Do I have to use a predefined goal?

No. New websites have no assumed conversion goal. You name your own outcomes and choose exactly what each one matches.

Do goals need a funnel?

No. Goals measure individual actions or page visits. Create a funnel separately when you want to study an ordered sequence.

YOUR NEXT QUESTION STARTS HERE

Start with your own website.

Connect your site, verify a visit, and define the outcomes that matter to you.
