Build your own journey from pages and events. Inspect sessions that reached a step or did not continue, then open their timelines and retained recordings.
Start with empty steps and choose observed page paths or event names. Create a sequence that fits your website rather than a fixed business template.

Go from a percentage to a concrete visit.
Select Reached or Did not reach under a step. Inspect the matching sessions, their last reached step and recent activity. Open a timeline or recording directly from that list.
Use an event timeline or recording to investigate a possible issue. Change the website, then compare a later period. A drop-off identifies a place to investigate; it does not establish its cause.

FROM SETUP TO YOUR FIRST QUESTION
Start with the real activity on your website.
01
Choose the pages or events that form a meaningful sequence.
02
Create your funnel and confirm that its events are being received.
03
Inspect a step's matching sessions, then open a retained recording for context.
Every step must happen in order within one analytics session and the selected period. Funnels do not stitch visits across website entries or devices. Saved definitions can be created and deleted; in-place editing, branching and configurable conversion windows are not included.
Before you get started
Why do goal and funnel counts differ?
A goal only requires its matching action. A funnel requires every preceding step in order, so successful visitors who take another path may not complete that funnel.
Does Did not reach mean someone definitely abandoned?
No. A visitor may still be active or complete later. Recent activity is flagged; the list describes the events available in the reporting period.
